Dr. Yates, DVM, Practice Owner – bio coming soon!

Dr. Humphrey, DVM

“I attended Lake Sumter Community College and then University of Florida, where I earned my Bachelor’s in Animal Science.  I then moved to Baton Rouge and attended Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating, I returned to my home town of Bushnell, FL to practice small animal medicine. Outside of work I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband Chad, 1 year old son Luke, and Labrador Layla.  Jumper Creek has been an amazing opportunity that allows me to live my dream of helping animals every day.”

Dr. Rothberg, DVM

“I knew I wanted to be a veterinarian since the time I could talk and saw this dream come true when graduating from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1968.  Following graduation, I took a small animal rotating internship in surgery and medicine at University of Pennsylvania.  My love for animals and the profession has continued over these many years.  Even today, 50 years later, I enjoy every minute of what I’ve been so lucky to experience while living my dream every day.  Whether it be a new puppy, the very ill, overcoming financial obstacles, helping the less fortunate or everything in-between, my passion has remained strong.  I’m very grateful to have such a wonderful team at Jumper Creek and will continue to practice for as long as I can.”

Vanessa, Lead Technician

“I joined our team in 2018 after moving from the Orlando area.  I’ve been a veterinary technician since 2008 and became Team Lead here in January 2021.  In My off time I enjoy spending time on the farm and family.  My animals include a dog, cat, horses and alpacas”

Alex, Veterinary Technician

“I have been in veterinary medicine since 2019. I started as a client relations specialist, and quickly worked my way up to technician. As a little girl, I grew up watching Steve Irwin “The Crocodile Hunter”, which ignited my passion for animals. I always knew I wanted to work with animals in some capacity, but my role in my family’s business took precedence over my dream. After running my own business here in Bushnell for awhile, a career change was imminent and thankfully I found my opening in the veterinary world. Caring for my clients beloved pets, brings an immense amount of joy to my life! I truly love building that bridge of trust and showing that your pets are more then just a chart to me. I have two Cane Corso Mastiffs, Oso and Vee; Two kitties, Stormy and Magnolia, and one supportive husband, Jay.”

Alyssa, Veterinary Technician

“I have been at Jumper Creek for 5 years now, but I have been working around animal since I was a little girl. Everything from trying to rehab injured birds, fostering abandon baby field mice, to working at a barn for the better part of 10 years learning to ride and drive horses, working at boarding facilities, to finally being a technician. I just had my first baby in January. Her name is Emma and she is the love of my life. She is a very happy little girl and already loves her fur siblings.  I have 1 dog named Rosie, who is a 9 yr old Sheppard mix that traveled to Florida with me from Texas. I also have 2 cats named Milo and Lucifer. I am originally from New York, and have traveled a lot, mostly due to my time in the military. I used to be a combat medic. In my spare time I love to play video games, go on long walks in new places, water activities, and thrift shopping.”

Lindsey, Veterinary Technician

“I’ve been in the Vet Tech industry since Feb 2021, where I left my previous job as an Assistant Branch Manager to fulfill my love for animals! I am a Florida native. In my spare time, I enjoy fishing, being outdoors, and mowing my lawn. My husband and I have 9 pets we call our own including 1 dog and 8 chickens. What can I say, we love our eggs!”

Jenna, Veterinary Technician

“I am originally from Tampa Florida and currently live with my husband, Justin, in Zephyrhills. We have two pit bulls named Sadie and Bailey that are our whole world. As a young girl, I would always play with my pets and listen to their heartbeats, which helped me early to realize that my dream was to become a vet. I have now been working in the vet industry for three years and have loved every minute. I have my CVA degree from animal behavior college and am currently acquiring my CVT through Penn Foster College. Being a tech means being there for the animals and their humans no matter the circumstances.”

Lynsee, Receptionist, Veterinary Technician

“I grew up in a small town in Massachusetts called Franklin. That is where I first fell in love with animals. I have a soft spot in my heart for Golden Retriever’s due to having them growing up my whole life. I have been working in veterinary medicine for 4 years now and have enjoyed every second of it. I have a beautiful daughter named Stella. We moved down to Florida with my fiancé of 2 years around the end of March 2021 to begin our adventure as a family.  During my spare time I enjoy going to the beach, hanging out with my family, and watching movies! My dream is to become more educated in the animal field and continue learning about what earth’s creatures have to offer as well as, to continue loving on all of your fur babies!”

Kristen, Receptionist

“I have lived in Sumter County for most of my life. I have been working in veterinarian medicine since 2012, 3 of those years being at Jumper Creek Veterinary Clinic. I have a 3 and a 1/2 year old daughter named Willow, she is my pride and joy! My family and I also have 2 cats named Cornbread and Blackberry. In my free time I enjoy being outside, spending time with family, going to the beach and fishing.”
