Dr. Yates founded Jumper Creek Veterinary Clinic in 1992 and continues to practice alongside the team he built. A Colorado native, he earned both his Bachelor’s in Microbiology and his veterinary degree from Colorado State University.
His professional interests focus on internal medicine and surgery. Dr. Yates shares his home with an impressive crew: Golden Retriever Gus, plus seven cats, including Dobby (who has three legs) and Mazikeen (who has an attitude).
Outside the clinic, he enjoys poker, soccer, and his favorite role—being a grandfather. His wife Lynne served as the clinic’s bookkeeper for over 3 decades.
